Thanksgiving

We had a quiet Thanksgiving. Sarah came home on Tuesday afternoon. We made pies on Wednesday for our traditional dinner on Thursday. After dinner, we all went for a walk on a new hiking trail along Rowlett Creek in Allen. The trail runs through a wooded area with many native pecan trees, so we had lots of fun collecting nuts and watching for birds and squirrels as we strolled. It wouldn't be Thanksgiving without an early Friday morning shopping run, and we managed to find a few 'super sales' on Christmas gifts. Rick and Sarah had pretty bad colds so we spent the rest of the weekend at home--watching football games, playing games, and watching movies.
